Alta Ares
Paris defence-AI startup building autonomous counter-UAS interceptors and air-defence software for allied militaries.
Alta Ares develops an autonomous AI stack for air defence and ISTAR, including its X-LOCK interceptor and Pixel Lock targeting. Founded in 2024, the company raised a €50M round led by Air Street Capital in June 2026 to scale interceptor production, drawing on combat feedback from Ukraine, after a €2M round in May 2025. In June 2026 Airbus Defence and Space signed an MoU with the company to cooperate on developing and integrating European counter-drone solutions. It runs production facilities in Toulouse alongside its Paris headquarters.
